‘Right or Wrong’ Limit is Our Perceptions |
Somehow, I really like to talk about perception. I think because of all human life are about his/her own perceptions. So let’s dig it :-).
Do you really think that everything you believe is an absolute right?
Take an example in Science.
Do you think "5 + 5 " always equals to "10 "?
If using binary calculation "1+1 " equivalent with "1010 "; equivalent with "12 " in octal ; equivalent with "A " in hexadecimal .
It depends on the basis number we used.
It is the same in Our Daily Life!
I give you two stories:
1. An Old Woman with Her Two Daughters
In a countryside, there was a 60 years old woman who lived with her two daughters.
One of her daughter lived as an umbrella’s seller, the second one lived as an ice cream’s seller.
When the sun shine beautifully, the old woman sad for her first daughter . "Nobody will buy her umbrella!".
If rain drops, the old woman always sad for her second daughter . "No one will buy her ice cream if it’s rainy!"
It gave her sadly long years .
Oneday, a wise man met her and asked a question, "Why are you so sad?"
Then she told him about her daughters and their jobs. She was sad of her first daughter when it’s shinny, and she was sad for the second daughter if it’s rainy.
The wise man told her, "Why don’t you change your perceptions? You are happy in shinny day because your second daughter can sell lots of ice creams. You are happy in rainy day because your first daughter can sell lots of umbrellas."
The old woman shocked but tremendously happy, "You are RIGHT !".
From that moment, the old woman perception has changed, she is happy whether it’s shinny or rainy day .

2. A Trader and His Son
Long time ago in China, there was a 50th years old trader who lived in a good village with his 45th years old wife and his only 17th years old son.
He was a successful and rich trader.
One day, his best horse ran away and got lost because the door cage was opened.
The neighbor said, "What a pity, you have a bad luck .".
The trader said, "It’s all right, who knows if it is good or bad luck? ".
Few days later, his best horse came back and bring along many wild horses to his place, so the trader have more horses in the cage.
The neighbors congratulated him, "What a lucky man you are!".
The trader said, "It’s all right, who knows if it is good or bad luck? ".
Next day, his son want to try to tamed one of the wild horse.
Unfortunately his son failed and fell to the ground. His leg was broken.
So the trader’s son paralyzed .
His neighbors gave him deepest sympathy and told him, "We gave you our condolence for your bad luck .".
The trader said, "It’s all right, who knows if it is good or bad luck? ".
Two years later, the country faces a big war. Every young man above 17 years old was obligated to participate in the war.
The entire village was surrounded by tears and crying sounds.
Luckily (if it can be said that way), the trader’s son have no obligation because of his paralyzed leg.
His neighbor said, "Your son is a lucky man.".
The trader only said, "It’s all right, who knows it is good or bad luck? ".

From those two stories, have we consider enough before making a judgment about our family, friends, or partners behaviors?
Have we consider enough before we show our ‘violent self’ - because of someone make a big mistake and violate our territory of perceptions?
What are perceptions? Perceptions are our world.
If there are 6.5 billions people, (maybe) there are 6.5 billions perceptions. In other words, there are 6.5 billions ‘right or wrong’ ideas.
Perceptions are our world. 6.5 billions Worlds?
Maybe not as much as that number, but I bet there are so many ‘right or wrong’ perception versions in this tiny earth!
